I meet more and more people these days who are so used to working with Big Cloud they have no idea how easy is actually is to run your own hardware. AWS never raises their prices but hardware keeps getting cheaper, faster, smaller, and more energy efficient. You could probably host a simple site that did not have crazy traffic on a pair of old android phones with full HA and keep it in a shoebox!
