Which price point? Lots of non-Tesla EVs selling for a wide range of price points right now.
Totally with you on the Ioniq 6 — very attractive, and will have better service options should something go wrong. Would also consider Polestar 2. Maybe the Ford Mustang Mach-E. Maybe.
The only thing matching the Model 3's drivetrain specs (350+ miles, sub 4s 0-60, AWD) is the lucid air, which is more expensive and not in production yet. The mercedes EQS matches the range, but is much slower (and more expensive). Everything else has both less range and is slower. The Teslas also have the best MPGe of all the EVs available.
It is hard to deny that Tesla is dominating the EV scene right now. They objectively have the best, most efficient EV platform and the best charging network.
Realistically, my plan is to wait a few years before I buy my EV. I think with supply chains cleared up, battery tech improving, and old auto manufacturers ramping up their EV capacity, the options will be much better in ~5 years. I really hope the Dodge Challenger EV is good.
