The author seems to be doing exactly what he repeatedly claims not to be doing: being cute with his phrasing. He tells you he's going to make a case for fraud ceterus parabus, then actually argues fraud naturally arises through tradeoffs, which anyone who has ever made any kind of decision should be aware of. He wasted my time and had nothing insightful to say.
