Yes back when there were a few good books that were
the
references for tech subjects. No Google, no Stack Overflow, no "For Dummies" waste of paper.

I'm currently reading and it feels like I'm learning a lot but at the same time it shows that a lot has changed since then.
I would love similar book but relevsnt for the current systems...

Agreed, this is an excellent book. I would definitely recommend it even today to people that want to improve their understand of unix/linux.
