Affordable, meaning reasonable pricing. Ie, not like Palo Alto's 3 million for 1200 square feet.



The thing is, once you start going the "all of the above" route (especially with the "good schools" requirement), you're more or less ensuring high housing/land costs. Good schools are the main reason specific neighborhoods get bid up by families competing for the same limited inventory.
