I have a Shelly Plug S connected to my PC Speakers, which connects to my InfluxDB 2.0 via MQTT. The speakers use 11 Watt on average, even if turned off, which amounts to 96.10 kWh per year. In Germany, that would be 37.48 € (39 cent/kWh), or 31.51£ - only one device turned off.

Now, I still leave it on, because turning a power adapter on and off 365 times a year may also render it useless after a while. I was actually thining about this recently, and whether I should use the Shelly to turn it off automatically, but did not reach a conclusion so far.
