Totally agree and this mirrors my experience. I spent years tinkering with devops, custom VPSes, Ansible, etc.

AWS CDK is unparalleled experience. Truly a multiplier in productivity that I haven’t experienced in 20 years working on the web.



Terraform was a complete game-changer for me. Once I got good at that suddenly everything became trivial.


Ya I can see that. Try CDK though, it’s on the next level. There’s even a cdktf project!


I'm at the point where I'm not sure I will take a dev job on a non AWS stack. My quality of life is just so much higher.
