GitHub Actions Bills Wildly Overstated (twitter.com/stevegrunwell)

Received an email from github stating that we have currently used 2,183,973 of 3,000 mins included. I'm guessing someone changed the order of magnitude in the usage accumulation

I used 67 billion minutes today.

How do you think this happened? The "billable_time" database column was microseconds, not seconds? Seems like things are off by ~6 orders.

This is why I always advocate for all variables/dimensions to have the units in the name (e.g. `billable_seconds`).

We got a bill for over 800 million

Well glad this was posted. Nothing like seeing you used 12 million GB and 16 million minutes and scaring everyone.

Whew, seeing this is relieving. We just received a bill for $84k for using 10.5 million GitHub Actions minutes...

At first I thought it was a bug on our account. Hopefully they resolve the outage soon.

There's definitely something wrong there. We received spending limit usage alert stating we used 216,865,369 minutes in the organization that's been unused since December last year ;)
