I’m not aware of the details but there are numerous stories of Sequoia NOT firing founders and even sticking with them through tough times. It would be interesting to see an analysis of how many ousted founders / per VC firm, maybe even across different verticals


those founders were not big enough but Ryan's story seems pretty consistent in highlighting this repeated pattern of ousting founders to create giant returns to justify Sequoia's own raises.

I'm absolutely appalled by Sequoia's behavior and it will be remembered by many. I'm more afraid for Ryan now and thus speaks volume for the elephant in the room.

Don't know if this means I will outright reject Sequoia but most certainly if an alternatives comes along with a good track record, they might undoubtedly receive my attention...
