I use just about anything that can run tmux, so I can use the same settings and shortcuts everywhere, to me a terminal that only support an OS is close to being as useful as a fork in the soup

Emacs has several. M-x term is elisp all the way down, M-x vterm uses libvterm but it's still very customizable and expandable on the Lisp side.
