There's a meme that goes like "In the world, <completely normal thing>, In Soviet Russia, <the opposite of it>". So here it would go, "In the world, you watch the TV. In Soviet Russia, the TV watches you." Except that it wouldn't just be in Soviet Russia.

Given that Soviet Russia wasn't a technology monopoly, it actually fits better if you turn it around (IMO):
