That's what people do. They remember the good and forget the bad. In 10-20 years people will look back and remember the "good" CGI movies from today and forget all the shitty ones that came out along side them. Rinse and repeat.
Black panther is the #3 highest-rated superhero movie on rotten tomatoes. Sounds like it’s even higher in its genre than The Thing (#138 in horror) and Alien (#5). Black Panther is not a bad movie in other aspects - but the parts that use (and overuse) CGI look as fake as any other Marvel
Production. So how good the movie is isn’t necessarily a free pass for CGI abuse.
The superhero genre doesn't lend itself to the "don't actually show much to build suspense" style of film-making that horror could lean on back in the day to make up for how corny practical effects would look.
It's not really a rousing endorsement that practical's greatest achievements are cases when you have the thematic luxury of not actually showing anything.
Ok here’s an example on a more visual genre. Practical Yoda is more believable than CGI Yoda. (Practical Yoda can’t do the “jumping pea” stuff but that was entirely laughable and defied suspension of disbelief entirely. )
There's quite a bit CGI Grogu in The Mandalorian. You just don't notice it because it's done well.
And remember, the the prequels were literally the first movies to have CGI major characters. Basing the effectiveness of the technique on them would be like basing all of practical effects on the first movie to have puppets.

Not surprising, given that there aren't many triple-A movies with Black lead actors around in the first place, much less movies that are predominantly Black starred - it was labelled as "revolutionary" [1] for a reason and so generated a lot of (well-deserved) hype. That it turned out to be a damn good movie too only helped the matter along.
You chose three films that are widely considered to be among the greatest films of all time in their genre.
