I also note (with a sense of resignation) that some organizations create structures/roles that make it harder for some individuals to be able to embrace such a mantra. I wish the quote wasn’t just for individuals, but for groups to aspire to.

and it is a good point. We somehow tend to find solace in engaging in water cooler complaints. If I were to change one thing about my professional career, especially in the early days is avoid the water-cooler complaints and people who are engaging in them as well. It is definitely a time sink and no one is benefiting from it.
