On a similar note, if I’m not mistaken, Monzo stores customer passwords (?)/keys used to access their bank information from other bank accounts (through monzo plus?).

I wonder if Monzo has done a similar deep dive into how they structure their architecture/security practices to protect against the threat of this information+encryption keys being stolen.




I believe that is through the Open Banking API/standard[0]. Anecdotally, henever I've connected bank accounts, it's been limited to three months until having to re-authenticate and get new keys.
