W3C User-Agent Client Hints ( SEC-CH-UA-* HTTP Headers) (wicg.github.io)

I noticed a peculiar 'Sec-CH-UA-Platform' that Chrome was sending. Indeed, the W3C draft and other documentation about this on the internet point back to Google being the promoting of this header.

I have a cynical view that this benefits users rather than Google. Google is good at horizontal scaling, not just with machines, but using headcount to bruteforce web standards. Other browsers are forced to keep up on feature parity for inconsequential features, or risk being 'out of standard'. All of this makes for stifling innovation.
