I ordered an M1 Max MacBook, really looking forward to it.

It looks like the battery life is fantastic, and it's quiet and cool. Given that, what are some reasons Apple might not have upped the wattage for an even faster chip? Is it just that they are so far ahead of the competition, and these are things that can't easily be matched (fanless operation, long battery life), or is there some physical reason they wouldn't want to run the chip hotter?
