At the risk of being downvoted I'm going to say that "faster horses" proponents could have been right, looking at the current state of the world.



People also want teleportation, immortality, and unicorns. I’d say the general public do imagine wild things all the time.

Never liked that quote. It never made any sense to me.


Odd how humourless readers downvote a comment thats both apropos (or at least arguably), undeniably true and incidentally funny.


If you have mostly functional arms, hands, eyes, etc, yes.


A fair comment and a good thing to remember when we think about computer hardware or facilities for people to use in general: Not everyone is "able-bodied" and many of us are facing all sorts of physical, environmental or psychological challenges.
