Go on about what the price of labor should be.

For you.

You make it sound like some sort of a gotcha. The maximum employees agree to pay for the work one is capable and willing to do, what's the problem with that?

It applies within tech too. E.g. I had a referral from a former coworker for a job they think I would be great at, and I'm pretty sure I could make quite a bit more money. But, in private conversations they told me they work 995, so that is a consideration. I don't want to work 995, so I didn't even bother applying; should the govt give me some money to compensate for my (relative) laziness?

Yes, please do.

unlike socialists i think the price of labor is simply the price at which someone accepts working for someone else, agree to by both parties. my price is exceptionally high because i’m highly skilled and intelligent and in demand and the market sets a price for that.

if someone has zero discernible skills but the government interferes and pays them more for doing nothing at home than their labor is worth then that’s the issue.

my pay is based off supply and demand not stealing and mooching or government fiat

and i don’t have the arrogance or tyrranical nature to presume i know the optimal price better than the market does
