People were literally banned for saying the lab leak was a possibility over misinformation claims. If they or the distribution of said content was still being banned people may still discount the lab leak. That is the problem with banning content that may be misinformation. If we had 100% accuracy on what is misinformation that would be one thing, but we don't.
Can you show an example of someone being banned somewhere for this? If anything I can see people being banned for pushing any number of conspiracy theories when what they're actually doing is pushing a racist agenda of some kind.
