Ive heard the “there’s chips in the tetanus shots they give in prison” conspiracy theories from more than one person working closely with prison staff, I wonder if this is a curious case of conspiracy theory “subculture”
The prison staff has this theory? I wonder then if the cause is that they are so used to treating the inmates inhumanely, that they assume secretly putting "chips" in vaccines is a totally normal thing that the someone would do to prisoners.
I wonder how much of this is just a misunderstanding of what vaccines do. They're probably perceived to be medicine for the weak, when in reality they train you to become stronger.
Shouldn't it make sense for the sort of person who stockpiles guns to also stockpile immunity?
These are case stories about why people don't want to take the COVID vaccine. I've read the United States will never reach heard immunity, which is believable to me. I can't wait for the vaccine to become available to kids so I won't have to worry about other people avoiding the COVID vaccine.
People fear vaccines but don't understand that a virus does a lot more damage to your cells than a vaccine ever could
Kudos for trying to “steelman” their argument rather than strawman it.
As devil’s advocate, we have no long term data about the vaccine, and people with it are still getting COVID, and may need another booster for variants. Is their prolonged and survived exposure to COVID really less effective than introducing the vaccine into their system? The risk profiles are different, but is the vaccine more effective than the antibodies they already have produced naturally? I don’t know answer, just curious rambling.
But they're not 100% safe, and if the guards already have immunity, then they're not effective.
In fact, I may be reading too much into your dropping of the article on "vaccines" but there is a huge flaw in your logic. General facts about "vaccines" don't say something about a particular vaccine, especially a new one. But my apologies if you meant to write "these vaccines."
