I'm excited to share that Foundations of High-Performance React Applications is out! While it's not a full-length book it's still my first complete book and a full-length one is coming.

I have a long background in performance optimization and web development. I set out to document for people how they could build high performance React programs but quickly realized it would be much easier to do that if the reader understood how React worked internally. So by studying the React source and other resources I was able to come up with a simple version of React that could demonstrate the important performance related parts without needing to get buried in unrelated details. In the book you'll be able to build your own working "React" and gain an understanding of high-performance React programming. I hope you find it useful and I'd love any feedback!

The book is available under CC-BY and can also be read online for free.
