Salesforce is uniquely amazing in that its development and extension environment is extremely close to the dreams of Smalltalk developers and the like. Loads of extensibility and introspection possible on basically every view of your system.

Yeah it’s slow but honestly you’re spending most of your time looking at the data and writing it up, the slowness doesn’t matter that much in the long run imo.
