i find 3 years in prison for this kind of youthful indiscretion to be outrageous. maybe 3 weeks, but not 3 years. all for slapping eggs on the faces of "serious and important" people.

i'm fine if a goldman middle-manager gets 3 years in prison for embezzlement, because that actually affects real people adversely, but this is excessively punitive, to say the least.
