I'm of two minds about this sort of analysis of social capital.
1. It's interesting; a lot of human behavior involves presentation to other human beings, and social media platforms can definitely be seen as a medium for signalling.
2. It's dismal and reductive and other words that signal that I don't like it for personal reasons.
