Because that is not how many bosses or jobs work. It is certainly not how school works. Teachers, parents, and plenty of managers have a very particular idea of what work product they want completed.

With them, your choices as a student/employee are to pester them and check in with them constantly until you have narrowed down exactly what you want or be told to go redo it after you figure out how to do it and get it wrong.




Yes, that was my point, having experience people to break out from that pattern is hard.
