It’s literally bi-partisan legislation, so yes by definition some Democrats sponsor it too. But it was introduced by a Republican and the excessive punitive measures on issues that have larger roots in society (punishing people isnt going to make them stop streaming illegally (“you wouldnt steal a car”)) I’m talking about came from the Republican party in the early 80’s, so let’s skip this “gotcha checkmate” mentality please
