minor unwarranted tip: you don't need "|" between letters in character sets in regexps. grep "[r|R]elocate" would match "relocate", "Relocate", yes, but also "|elocate".
You probably want
grep '[Rr]elocate'
or
grep '\(R\|r\)elocate'
or just
grep -i relocate

+++++ BI ENGINEER INTERN, DATA ANALYST INTERN +++++
Hi everyone! I'm Sofia
((looking for an internship / working student position starting in BERLIN from January 1st))
Throughout university I have interned as a UX Researcher in two startups and contributed greatly to the company’s success in design and analytics. Currently, I am more focused on data analysis and modeling. I have enhanced my analytical skills and gained some knowledge of quantitative research techniques and descriptive statistics that will be valuable for analyzing large-sample quantitative surveys and usability testings. I am good at descriptive statistics, data interpretation, and data cleaning.
As well as that, I spent this year learning data-driven approaches and I think I could bring a lot of value to the company by transforming raw data into valuable information. I am a very easy-going and self-motivated person who acts confidently and volubly. Besides, I am a self-taught developer who completed a couple of 300-hour courses on FreeCodeCamp.

I have been employed in software development for almost 10 years and have written code since childhood. I have worked back-end, front-end (web and native, mobile and desktop), databases and testing throughout my time. Throughout my career I have developed a systemic view point and an ability to understand how different components of a project and different teams interact. I formed a T-shaped domain of knowledge with database architecture being the leg of the T. Due to my experience, I am currently aiming for a software architect role, or a role with growth opportunities toward a similar tech leadership position. From a tech stack I am most excited by opportunities to work in Rust and opportunities to work on free open source software. If you are looking to make the world a better place and need an engineer don't hesitate to ping me.
I'm an expert engineer and data professional interested in consulting and architecting data pipelines. At Edmunds.com, I worked on a fairly successful ad-tech product and my team bootstrapped a data pipeline using Spark, Databricks, and microservices built with Java, Python, and Scala.
These days, I work for a "new media" company you probably heard of and, over the past year, I re-built an ETL Kubernetes stack, including data loaders and extractors that handle >10,000 API payload extractions daily.
My area of expertise includes data interoperability with Facebook Marketing, Facebook Graph, Instagram Graph, Google DFP, Salesforce, etc. That I'm a top-tier developer goes without saying. I'm interested in flexing my consulting muscle and can help with best practices, architecture, and hiring.
Would love to connect even if it's just for networking!
ABOUT: Software Engineer with 1.5+ years experience working in Research and Development Laboratory, currently working on L-4 Autonomous Vehicle System. I have a desire to move out of research and more into something more product or SAAS centric. I'm always willing to learn new tech stacks and face new challenges. I work nearly all in Python these days, but with some C++. I am currently taking a variety of Master’s classes in Machine Learning, and SQL, NoSQL and AWS technologies. I have worked as a Full stack Engineer in the past, building small internal websites with .NET backends. I'm only considering full-time opportunities at some cool places. Reach out if you have any questions or opportunities that you should like to talk about. Thanks! And have a great rest of your day.
I've spent the last few years developing a declarative GUI programming language and implementation called "IVD" (https://github.com/IrisChase/IVD), it's not done yet because life happens. It is based on my experience developing GUIs in the web stack (pre-react days), Qt/GTK+, and Qt's QML, in an attempt to tie together the best of those technologies and rethink the worst.
My experience is primarily in C++ (C++17, C++14, C++11). Also comfortable working with straight C (C89, C90, C99, C11), although less experience with The C Way™. I have working knowledge of Python, and have piddled around in Common Lisp but nothing non-trivial unfortunately.
Balanced full stack product engineer. Very good at both web apps, mobile apps, APIs, Postgres, Linux, mentorship, and communication in general. Touch typist, VIM ninja, refactoring monster. With an academic background of philosophy (!)
Mostly startup oriented, developed a lot of projects for different teams and industries (finance, digital marketing, automation, online education, e-commerce).
My specialty is to build simple systems with few moving parts that contain as little accidental complexity as possible. I'm pragmatic but always chase proper implementations at the same time. (See resume for more)
Lately into blockchain (although not an evangelist at all) and fintech. But open to any kind of projects.
Always looking for interesting & challenging projects and smart people. Open to contract work & short gigs as well.
I am pursuing my Masters from University of California, Irvine at the moment (graduating in March 2021). I have 3+ years of experience as a professional developer.
My background is mostly in ecommerce, but I am a generalist who has broad depth. I have worked on desktop GUI applications, low level system code, and web applications. I am looking for a position as a backend developer; can start in March 2021.
I'm an experienced software product engineering manager with a broad skillset. I build teams focused on producing quality products in a collaborative culture where leaders develop and everyone is encouraged to take risks. I have experience in all phases of product development including sales.
Most recently I've been leading a successful healthcare analytics product. I'm open to many roles (including management, engineering and product).
My name is Paul Han and I graduated from UC Berkeley in 2019. I have two internship experiences as a Software Engineer and searching for my first full time role. I have previous experiences as a Financial Advisor, Underwriter, and as a Bartender. I consider myself a very quick learner, and am looking for a company whose values align with mine. I am passionate about creating technology for public good.
About: Backend/Machine Learning Developer with 2+ years of experience in building real time streaming low latency bi-directional system from scratch. Master's Degree in Computer Science and Information Engineering (CSIE) from National Yunlin University of Sciences and Technology, familiar with English and Chinese, now working in Telexpress.
I am currently interning with a national laboratory but would like to keep my eye out for other opportunities, and there are some awesome employers here on HN. I will be graduating within the next two months with a BS in Computer Science, and I worked as a web developer for over three years when I was younger. My current internship has given me experience in the Python, Java, and C/C++ languages, while allowing me to work with Docker, Ansible, Gitlab (w/ CI/CD), and other technologies, and I'm always willing to learn the stack necessary for a job.
Looking for an internship/summer job/fellowship/whatever you want to call it!

Worked as freelance software engineer for the past 10 years, would now like to work for a company whose primary goal is to provide an alternative for / curb the power of huge monopolists such as Google and Facebook (think: Signal, Matrix/Element, DuckDuckGo, Brave, Purism).
10 years of very broad work experience: backend development, some frontend, devops, security, architecture, scalability, privacy, open source. If I'm not familiar with your stack yet, I'll just learn it before I start.
Technologies: Linux, FreeBSD, Windows server technologies, AWS, building internal clouds. I'm a contract system administrator for small to medium clients that have technological or contractural needs that are difficult to provide outside of large institutions. I help companies build solid environments and get the most out of them until the time they're large enough to launch their own internal teams to manage them. If you've got problems that your developers don't want to deal with, drop me a line. I try to be the kind of sysadmin your developers want to work with--not the guy they're trying to scheme up elaborate shaky tools to try and replace.
I'm a computer science student at the University of Delaware specializing in Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence. I've been programming and developing software for well over 5 years now and I have experience in advanced algorithms, web development, machine learning, and game development.
I'm seeking an internship position during spring, summer and/or fall of 2021.
I am a backend guy who has worked mainly on java and Spring. I have also worked a bit on everything . So I can pick anything which is needed for the task at hand.
University Graduate but entered the job market during the pandemic. Hasn't stopped me from coding and working on various projects. Technically a Jr. Developer on paper but more of a Mid-Level in practice. Currently working as a tutor but looking to launch my career. Check my website to see what I'm up recently.
Interested in Golang, educational applications, or anything with Natural Language Processing (my next application).

=== Software Engineer ===
I'm a self taught developer who has been through the product development life cycle several times. The first was when I was brought onto a team that was looking to build a distributed solar power management system built with Raspberry Pi's. The second and most recent was when I worked at my startup which built a service that used AI to help writer, authors, and students get past writer's block.
In both instances I was in a collaborative team environment that tested a lot of my assumptions about engineering and project management. As a result I have a good understanding of what goes into time management, people management, and how to strike the balance between timely delivery and project scope.
I have a particular interest in AI, so anything that touches on that would be ideal, but I'm always eager to learn a new field or solve a new problem.
Email: Golf Oscar @ Hotel Alpha Juliet Oscar . Mike Echo
I'm very much enjoying optical flow research. If I could freely choose, my goal would be to create algorithmic features with known and well-behaved likelihood distributions by training AI components and then analyzing, understanding, and re-implementing them using explicit functions.
Earlier this year, I was leading Sintel Clean EPE matched with my H-v3 attempt - which sadly still included lots of black box AI for ambiguity resolution, but at least it was based on handcrafted linear filters to create the feature space. I'm hoping to release my next attempt in January, but as a hobby, competing alone against FAANG teams is kind of unwieldy ;)
I'm fortunate to be remote CTO for a US company, so there's no hurry. But I'd be very curious to look into selfie drones or self-driving cars :) And I would be willing to free up 2-3 days per week to explore job opportunities there. So I guess I'm looking for a remote & senior & part-time AI/ML research position, if such a thing exists.
In case that's useful, I also have experience in related areas like Unreal Engine / Houdini for data set generation or 3D printing / SfM / Photogrammetry / Satellite processing for measuring things.
I am a full-stack web developer with over six years of experience delivering software. I have worked for clients all around the world in many different industries. I have delivered solutions for solo founders, startups, digital agencies and big companies, such as Apple. I have background in computer science and am able to create everything from small business websites to custom web applications.
US Citizen living in the south Pacific with 4+ years of dedicated experience looking to work remotely for web development with Python or Vue.js but preferably back end engineer of some sort.
At my current employment I work alone and without oversight to provide services and maintain legacy systems for my boss's business and build apps as a contractor for others. I have varied experience from building our own Netflix-clone for our local ISP (internet is expensive here) to a local free-to-air linear TV channel broadcast by local broadcaster including dynamic overlays (weather, news, up next segments), media management and automatic playlist solver. I've currently taken interest in computer vision/machine learning but I am far from proficient in that topic for now.

I’m a Python engineer with API development, data science, and DevOps experience that loves working at the intersection of these fields to turn ideas into production products. I’m currently completing a Masters in Computational Data Analytics at Georgia Tech.
For the last eight months I've been CTO and co-founder at a startup I founded with a few co-workers after the last startup we were all working at shut down due to impacts from COVID. We released an iOS and Android app in September, but I am looking to move back into an employee role where I can focus on solving technical problems rather than running a startup.
Prior to my startup I was the second employee at another startup creating enterprise analytics software. I spent multiple years working in a hybrid backend engineering, data science, and devops role where I developed machine learning models and REST APIs and deployed them on Kubernetes using SQL and noSQL databases on GCP. I was heavily involved in the full implementation cycle from ideation, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
I am looking for a full time backend or data science role (ideally a bit of both!) in Denver or Remote. I have been fully remote the last 8 months and discovered I work very well in that environment.
I'm the founder and sole engineer of WRGL: https://www.wrgl.co. I have just launched the first version and looking for a part-time job to support myself while keeping developing WRGL. Beside my own product I have 6-years experience working with multiple startups in the past including:
I would describe myself as someone who can balance the avant-garde side of technology as well as product deliverability. I hope you find my profile interesting and contact me if you're interested.
I would prefer a programming position in the games industry, but am open to other Software Engineering opportunities. Having worked in a government agency as a consultant for the past 4 years, I'm ready to escape the "Corporate" environment. I'm looking for something with more flexible hours than 8-5 and a looser dress code than "Business Casual." I'm very good at reading, understanding, and improving existing code, with great attention to detail, readability, and maintainability.
Location: Germany, northern part of Baden-Wuerttemberg
Remote: Yes, but also open for partly remote roles, depending on the location of the company
Willing to relocate: No
Technologies: Python (scikit, pandas, numpy, etc.), R (tidyverse, ggplot, etc.), SQL-Databases (MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL), NoSQL-Databases (MongoDB, InfluxDB), Visualization (dash/plotly, shiny, D3), Frontend Development (Angular), Backend Development (django), CI/CD (GitLab), Containerization (Docker), Version Control (git, SVN)

Summary: (Lead) Data Scientist with ~7 years of experience and a PhD in a data science topic.
About: For the last few years, I have worked in Data Science consulting and have therefore worked on a variety of problems in various industries. I have extensive experience in leading data science projects from use case identification trough small proof of concept projects to building systems for applying models in daily business. From my consulting experience, I am very aware of the importance of working closely with internal and external partners and have developed a strong and clear communication with technical and non-technical audiences. I enjoy mentoring junior team members am a cooperative team leader with focus on personal growth.
Currently, I'm looking for an exciting opporunity in a leading or managing Data Science role. I am very open regarding company size and can imagine working in settings ranging from start-ups to large corporations, as long as the culture fits and interesting and relevant stuff gets done.
decades of programming. solid computing system fundamentals. problem solving. brainstorming. prototyping. communication. technical team lead. software architect. SRE-ish. author of cheatsheet on Software Performance & Scalability. tech research, due diligence and consulting for US State Department. indie game engine creator since childhood. wrote & shipped a zombie apocalypse simulation a decade ago -- which was much more fun than coronavirus. in free time lately designing a sim to teach about democracy collapse risks, and FOSS contrib to Tailscale
I'm a programmer who's great at solving hard problems with data. Some of the problems I've worked on:
- How do we design software that will let institutions collaboratively build machine learning models on data they cannot share with each other?
- How should we visualize experimental data affecting the entire metabolome so our scientists can comprehend the results?
- How can we extract labels for geographic regions from natural text written about those places?
- How can we build a gamified incentive structure to encourage the kinds of solutions that are scientifically valid?
- Is it possible to model the effects of changes in immigration due to COVID on the US election?
I love small teams and have gravitated towards startups because I like having my fingers in many pies and taking ownership of important things. Looking for a client or employer to be an early engineer on a project that I care about; especially interested in anything in energy transition / cleantech. Feel free to reach out to chat even if it's not directly about a particular job.
I'm Open to contract work if B2B or 1099, have a can-do attitude and the ability to be hands on, mentor, work collaboratively and autonomously.
I prefer to do things as opposed to talking about doing things and am able and willing to gather requirements, create stories and define projects.
I'm punctual, reliable, dependable, adaptable and accountable and all the other good-ables. I have no issues with taking ownership of things I work on.
About me: I have almost 10 years of experience developing applications that require high availability, high scalability. Acting in recent years as a technical
leader
#CI/CD: Practices of constant delivery of software in production, either through code version practices such as gitflow or through pipelines for example.
I have experience in administration and programming on multiple platforms, hardware design, and the telecommunications industry. team management, implementation of large and small systems, support and test automation.
I have designed ARM clusters, small industrial robots and embedded devices.
I love demanding projects.
Well, I designed my first "computer" based on relays and lamps when I was 4 years old when I saw my cousin's Atari.
Availability (Starting December 2020): 40 hours/week
[Python-Django-React Fullstack Developer]
My expertise lies in automated web scraping of difficult to obtain data, websites with bare bones structures and complex to parse, large scale websites, including those using 'scraping protection' services and sites that simply put - are hard for most to scrape. I use a variety of methods for getting the data and aim to obtain the data as quickly, accurately and efficiently as possible.
I can also provide Node-React applications and front ends. I believe that I am a consistent fullstack developer who happened to specialize in data scraping and data science but is still able to provide current high quality front end work.
I am a Python/Django Developer. I am also learning React to become a full-stack developer. I have good experience of building REST APIs with DRF and I have also worked with Django Templates. I have been working for the Startups. I have also contributed in Open Source, even I was also a Google Summer of Code student in 2018.
I am looking to work with the Global developers. To make some good contacts.
I have 10 years of industry experience doing exclusively DATA SCIENCE, and prior to that 10 years of university education specifically in NATURAL LANGUAGE PROCESSING culminating in a PH.D. from the UNIVERSITY OF CAMBRIDGE and a position as casual lecturer on MACHINE LEARNING.
Stop. I know what you think. "Jupyter notebooks and Powerpoint, and zero engineering skill." That's not me. I mean: I can do those things. But in a rare confluence of complementary skill, I'm also highly skilled as an engineer (software engineering, data engineering) and enthusiastic about wrapping great QUANT work into great ENGINEERING work.
I mostly work on projects that involve:
* mathematical modelling & data fitting (= MACHINE LEARNING).
* NATURAL LANGUAGE PROCESSING.
* VISUALIZATION (and yes: I know who Edward Tufte is).
* creation of dashboards & reporting infrastructure.

I'm interested in developing microservices that communicate over a message bus because I find that topic interesting currently. I would not like to have a leading role.
Alternatively, boring is good too. Boring being the stuff I do day in day out since at least 16 years ago - full stack, frontend or backend development.
No "DevOps". Aka I'm not interested in managing infrastructure and other people's deployments.
I like to "keep it simple stupid", because from experience, maintainable code is "dumb" code.

Hi everyone, I'm a Software Developer that works in TypeScript using Angular and React. I have about two years of experience as a Software Developer and have been programming for about ten years (since I was 15). I’ve successfully launched an app on the App Store using React Native. I have developed and debugged features of web and mobile products, so I'm familiar with both the debugging and the development phase of software development. I was previously in a Full Stack Development Bootcamp so I am familiar with both Frontend and Backend development. I'm open to both full time positions and freelance work. I really love technology and would love to contribute to a project.
I'm a brazilian electrical and software engineer with 4 years of experience developing embedded applications and web.
I'm highly interested in Math, Statistics, Game theory, Information theory and Category theory (I'm not a hardcore haskeller... yet, so I do not include it in my techs).
These days I'm working on marketing automation with my own startup.
Covid hit Brazil very hard, and my family specially suffered form this, so the high variance of returns of a startup life is not acceptable for me anymore.
I'm very used to remote work and will receive in cryptocoins and work on a contractor bases if it is more convenient for both parts.
I've won 10 hackathons with my Fullstack expertise, am publishing an undergrad Machine Learning research paper, and am using DL for NLP + Computational Neuroscience work in my current internship. My areas of interest include Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, Neurotechnology, and Bioinformatics but I also just love building impactful products!
Open to internships, part-time, and some full-time positions.
Software Engineer with 9+ years of professional experience. Please go through my resume and blog to know more about me. Feel free to contact me through email!
So unlike previous hiring posts I am trying my luck into something different, a code/system janitor and optimizer.
Background:- Lately, I got a chance to work on PHP-based systems that were on old code and not optimized(front/back/DB). A project I am about to finish was porting old php5 code to php7 and XSS vulnerabilities. It also includes a bit of optimizing queries and making the system efficient.
I am currently focusing on PHP related work whether it is checking of vulnerabilities, optimizing (front|back) end or refactoring. So drop me and email and we go from there.
Remember, poor quality systems code trillions in US only[1]
I'm Indonesian designer and front-end developer. I have 2 years experience working as a designer at design studio. I design delightful interface, website, brand, and packaging. I love working with inspiring people and companies on challenging projects.

I enjoy learning new technologies and working on inspiring projects. In addition, I prefer to work throughout the full stack as my background has required full understanding from UI through to the full backend infrastructure. I have an even split of experience both in enterprise and startup spaces.
At this point I'm looking to move into a DevOps or SRE type role as my skill set aligns well with those kind of responsibilities, and my latest role has afforded me the opportunity to learn many more facets of SRE. Full stack development is also a viable option, for the right opportunity.
I worked for 5 years in a media company(vix.com) and as a Team Lead I was responsible of maintain and improve the platform that supports all the operations of the company.
We delivered content through several channels (vix.com website, Instant Article, Google Accelerated Mobile Pages, and several feeds to social networks and devices). We went from a heavily-customized Drupal to a custom NodeJS solution with microservices reducing devops costs, enhancing website performance and finally improving the time to add new channels from an average of two week to 8 hours.

Location: Istanbul (US Citizen)
Remote: Yes, remote only from UTC+03:00. (I pay taxes in the US, so there are no tax / immigration concerns as long as you do not have an office in Türkiye outside of the tekno parks).
Greetings! I've been working as a systems administrator / entrepreneur / devops engineer for about 25 years now. I'm a US citizen living in Istanbul and working remotely for star-tups and mid-sized companies in the USA. As long as you do not have an office in Türkiye then there are no tax or immigration concerns. I'm a US resident and taxed as such.
Over the past 25 years my career has run the gamut from tech support at EDS to co-founding a successful managed operations / devops company called BitPusher, and everything in-between. I've worked with several YC start-ups, started two other companies (A failed music start-up in '98 and a small exit from a api-driven anycasted authoritative dns service called DNSWorks).
I'm seeking DevOps work focusing as much as possible on Infrastructure As Code with Terraform, CI/CD and configuration management in the cloud (AWS primarily). I also really enjoy building and managed internationally distributed / offshored teams.
I'm somewhat of a digital nomad, and am only seeking remote work, primarily from Istanbul. I'm willing to travel up to 10-15%, but preferably in Europe / Near-East / Asia. I could be convinced to relocate to Barcelona or Copenhagen and possibly Amsterdam.
My dream position would be working for a consumer-product, gaming or music company focusing on large-scale cloud management with Terraform and AWS.

I've been working as a nurse for the past 3.5 years. I wanted to figure out what problems nurses face and then see if I could solve one of those problems with programming. I haven't found that problem yet, but now I consider my "research" complete and I'm ready to return programming full-time.
While I'm open to many different jobs, I am especially interested in health or clinical applications where I can put my nursing background to good use.

You—: You need a web app that looks beautiful. You want prospective customers to interact with your product and you want them to feel that visceral feeling that you feel when you interact with an Apple product or something of similar quality. That feeling will compel them to purchase your thing and it is easily worth hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars to you over the next two or three years. (Perhaps you've noticed how terrible the recent YouTube redesign is. If I were in charge of that operation I would fire everyone involved. No mercy.)
I prefer not to be "managed". Direct engagements with execs only. Thanks.

Heavily interested in system software development and computer graphics. Offline rendering (ray/path-tracing) or real-time rendering were the main topics of all my projects over the past 6 years. Optimizing existing code and writing new low-level code is what I find most rewarding. Would like to work with Rust.
Recently, I have also been enjoying working with big data streams for ETL pipelines (Flink, Kafka).
Versatile professional being both a data scientist & data engineer with 3+ years of experience. Skilled in working with omni-present data sources, creating automated pipelines and translating modeled insights into actions. Equally comfortable with deep diving into a research paper, as well as tackling an engineering and infrastructure challenges. Eager learner and a team player.
I have been a software engineer for over five years now, and have also been responsible for multiple software projects from their conception all the way to their validation with the end users. As I have worked on numerous projects in various roles and with different partners over the last years, I have honed my organizational and soft skills, and I’m capable of working independently while at the same time being able of collaborating with colleagues and clients.
Hey cool technologies. I have been meaning to learn me some Elixir. Quick question, how are tech jobs in Italy? What kind to companies are there? Where are the tech hubs?
Tech jobs in Italy are ok, the only real tech hub is Milano, and the pay is fine, not high as other EU countries, but the cost of living is also lower, while I think the quality of life is better (based on my priorities). There are good startups (especially in Milano), but I think the majority of the companies are still with an oldschool mindset, so that might not be too attractive. I know of a lot of companies that I would be glad to work for, with agile mindset, nice culture and good technology stacks, but they are maybe 5% or less of the all the software companies.
I have learned Elixir about four years ago, coming from Ruby, and haven't looked back since. Of course, when the domain or the nature of the problem at hand requires different technologies, I use other stuff (python, c, go, etc.), but for most of the stuff I work on, I find Elixir to be a great fit. I don't want to go in too much detail, but if you're considering learning Elixir to find a job, you won't have trouble finding jobs, but other languages might get you there faster and open more doors. If you want to learn a new technology that will influence the way you develop and think, and show you a whole new way of solving some problems (I can't stand concurrency in any other language after working in elixir/erlang) I think Elixir is a great choice.
ABOUT: Full-Stack Software Engineer in the biggest investment bank in latin america, BTG Pactual, in the credit team. I am very open to learning new technologies and techniques that are not in my current stack,
and I have a great desire for an international job opportunity, that is one of my goals. I can communicate in English, Portuguese or Spanish.
I'm a senior software engineer, experienced in a variety of languages and technology stacks. I'm looking for interesting and rewarding work on a remote-friendly (preferably "remote first") team, especially using Scala. I have experience in developing web applications using various UI stacks, but prefer backend development. I have experience as team lead, technical lead, and mentor. I am also a big proponent of automation, striving to make life easier for both developers and end-users.
Coworkers and friends look to me for programming advice and assistance in solving complex problems. I relish challenging projects. I strive to write exceptionally clean code, along with suites of thorough unit and integration tests. I am pragmatic, and bear performance in mind, however. Multiple times I've profiled and analyzed code and design, and identified opportunities to speed up and/or reduce footprint by a factor of 1000x or more.
I enjoy working on interesting and challenging problems, especially science-related ones, and on systems that impact large numbers of people. Contributing to open source projects would be a huge plus. I have experience working remotely, and with my background and abilities, I will be an asset to your team.
Technologies: (from front to back end) HTML5 (ECMAScript/Javascript/Typescript/JSX, CSS/SASS/LESS, HTML/XML), PyQt5, Python, Sh/Zsh/Bash, Make, Node (née NodeJS), MySQL, a bit of Rust and C++; and sundry automation and testing tools.
I am a CS student in my last year of studies and I'm currently looking for internships. I'm based in GMT +2 but I can work in the Eastern timezone as well. Take a look at my resume and feel free to email me if you have any questions.
I’m graduating with my Masters in CS in May. I only have one course until graduation; with online classes, I am mostly free for full time work. I have three years’ worth of research experience in computational chemistry, am proficient in software development on Linux computers and clusters, and have been focusing on compiler work during my Masters. I've taken electives in database theory and implementation, CUDA, MPI, and compilers, among others.

I help non-technical founders handle their tech so they can focus on growth.
If you're a B2B startup founder struggling to stay on top of your design & development processes while simultaneously juggling your business's sales, marketing, and operations, I can help.
Over the last ten years, I've contributed to over 25 products launched across app stores and the web. In that time, I've worked with Fortune 500s as a consultant at Google, with venture-backed startups as a partner at Gradient, and with non-technical founders as founder and project lead at SANE.digital.
As soon as next week, I can join your team as an independent technical co-founder, taking over your design & development processes and freeing you up to focus on the only thing that matters to an early stage startup:
Growth.
Don't just take my word for it. Listen to my clients:
“James understands what it means to work with a startup where every dollar counts. Thanks to him, we were able to bring our products to market much faster than we could have ourselves.” - Matt Ivester (CEO, A Rad Corporation)
“After three years of other agencies promising a lot but delivering little, getting to test a prototype after just a few weeks was very cool. From the first time we sat down, I really felt James got what I was trying to do.” - Andy Lin (Founder, Self Portrait Project)
“After an entire year of working with another firm, our app just did not work—the core feature was broken and the app drained the battery. James was able to research the problem and find a workable solution in a matter of weeks.” - Lachie Given (Founder, Knowhere)
