How did you do this? On my system it picks HFP by default, and tells me A2DP is unavailable until I restart PulseAudio/bluetooth - where it then picks A2DP. Happens every boot

I had to pair with bluetoothcl first.

I wrote it up: https://tacosteemers.com/articles/2020-10-03-using-bluetooth...

second reply (a2dp mentioned) worked for me: https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/437468/bluetooth-he...

sudo nano /lib/systemd/system/bluetooth.service

Change

ExecStart=/usr/lib/bluetooth/bluetoothd

to

ExecStart=/usr/lib/bluetooth/bluetoothd --plugin=a2dp
