Last i tried getting it working on fedora I gave up because it was silently failing while appearing to work correctly due to the bad systemd unit files and init scripts from canonical (see https://github.com/lxc/lxc/blob/master/config/init/systemd/l... and https://github.com/lxc/lxc/blob/master/config/init/sysvinit/...)

Better things to do in life and I got what I wanted from podman with --rootfs.
