I'd say, there are significantly less high frequency blogs than, say, 10 years ago. One of the reasons for this is the radical decline in means of monetization. In the heyday of blogging, you could do it for living, with just a few non-obtrusive ads. Which has changed a lot. Even, if you would plaster your site with ads, like news outlets, with little room left for actually reading, chances are, you won't see much of a return. As a result, blogging is mostly a hobbyist endeavor (again).
