I expect that's the case. For the most part, CentOS has feature parity with RHEL.


CentOS is RHEL without the RHEL branding.


Also, you can update and upgrade without an RHN subscription. Technically, it's a complete recompile of the source code used for RHEL into CentOS rpm packages.
