Somewhat related:

I want to build my own electric car, well, convert an ICE car to an electric one. I have the fabrication skills but I want to learn more about of the _electric_ stuff (the motor, AC vs DC, the controller, differences in batteries, etc). Does anyone have a good resource for that?
