Scapegoating this as poly problems is a terrible thing to do. Google has serious managerial issues, bred by previous and current executives shitty behaviour (to borrow from the article).
The board needs to fire the current executives and purge those operating unethically below the C level.
Yeah, figured Google wouldn't see serious reform. Much like Google's "efforts" to diversify their workforce by dropping nearly all Asian/Indian/White applicants, things aren't going to notably improve at Google if they continue with their current board and management.
Avoiding addressing the root issues that cause these poor work environments is going to catch up with Google eventually, its been sapping talent for years (though the current executives likely don't adequately grasp that).
