Although I'm sure we're heading in this direction eventually, it'll be interesting to see what kinds of protections this system and others like it have from "misbehaving" cars.
I imagine a "always try to give me the green light" patch will be created almost immediately after this system starts being used in public.
But if everyone installs the patch, the only way they'd get green lights faster was if their 3rd party system was smarter... Which is a net win. (Unless some people can't afford the 3rd party patch.)
