This question was prompted after reading an article about the spread of neuroticism in web forums and social media.

On HN over the years, we've had tons of, frankly, geniuses start their social media companies and forums only to have them become overrun with anxiety, dread, fear, and hopelessness. I'm also starting to see some of that here on HN too, but to a lesser degree.

So what are some options to address this? I think a good solution can absolutely become the next "killer app" if someone smarter than me figures it out and succeeds in getting it to market.
