However, after 5 minutes in DDG I just took the top result that mentioned that Deere is alleging infringement for work done by a firm it had previously attempted to purchase. Thanks for that, it's also blocked in South Africa, which is pretty damn far from Europe. I suspect they just block anything non-NA.

Why is it blocked in European countries?

Because they don't understand how GDPR applies to them, or they don't want to respect their users' privacy.
