Did someone summon me?


I said it before, and I will say it again: If someone managed to build a scaled-down version of the Cray-1 chassis and put a regular PC in it, that would be the coolest case ever.

Due to the hole in middle it is difficult to fit a rectangle without result being quite large. Even with a mini-ITX board (17x17cm) the diameter needs to be at least 2-3 times bigger that's half a meter.

The coolest retro machine I’ve seen are connection machines.

They’re just solid black cubes, when powered on they burn hundreds of ominous red dots across their surface, pulsing to show you the status of your program as it runs in real time.

It’s like something Apple would make if they became a very evil cyberpunk company.
