Except an encrypted seed in cold storage. If you want to spend it you'll have different problems though.

Yeah, the problem with offline/paper seeds is that, if you want to spend them, you're going to become more vulnerable than with a hardware wallet, and they're single-use.
Not to mention that they're hard to generate securely.
