I think it's ok for specific video pages on multimedia-first sites, like Youtube. (I'm not a fan of autoplay when you go to a page with multiple results, such as a creator's page.) That's about it, though.

Like I said, it's fine if it's expected.... If it's the ONLY video in the whole page, and it's the main set of content.

Doesn't the flash code have metrics based on size? Size and closeness to the top seems pretty good.

That's just going to cause sites to edit the DOM after a video plays.

If you want autoplay on Youtube you should be able click a whitelist button similar to the 'do you want notifications?' popup.
