Does this mean TB3 (with "only" 40Gbps bandwidth) won't be able to support all the features/resolutions of HDMI 2.1? This is of course assuming that the HDMI 2.1 spec is designed to fully utilize the hardware level bandwidth.
Also I wonder what exactly is making the 48G cable special. Is it using additional pins while maintaining backwards compatibility?
