I suppose it's safer to use a BBQ brush with really heavy gauge, thick steel bristles that are less likely to fall out, and that you would definitely notice when biting into a burger?



I use a welding brush. A tenth of the cost of a BBQ brush, much better made, and the bristles are big enough I'd notice.


Knotted wire wheel at ~5,000rpm or about 5900ft/min surface speed should do the trick.
