Comparing the 5X with the 6 and 6P is disingenuous -- the numbers refer to the phone size, not generation number.

I think that was the point. They went up to 6" and then took a step back and released a ~5" and a ~6" model the next year.

Granted I thought the 5X was too big, considering the 5 was already pushing that limit, but still.
