This case isn't just about Apple though. If the FBI wins this case, it becomes a precedent that can then be turned around and used on ANY hardware or software company in the future.

Which is why it should have been important enough to them to wait for the next 9/11 or similar incident.

Waving around the proverbial pipe wrench for a case this ambiguous is just stupid. They're just as likely to have it taken away from them altogether.
