That's the first time I've heard someone express what I feel too! I'm -8.5 and -9.5 in contact lenses and that blurriness feels very relaxing for the brain. Though it's a bit unpractical having to hold my phone 15 cm from my face in the bed...

Also, our super power is the power to see extremely small details, which proves useful sometimes!

The other day I had a splinter in my left index fingertip that was so small I couldn‘t see it even under a magnifier. After some clueless and painful poking with a needle, removing my glasses did the trick. I located the splinter and got it out within seconds. Around -6 in glasses.

I have a similar correction and I was surprised when I was helping my brother reassemble a small motor he couldn’t see the fine details.

It wasn’t until I started wearing contacts (and thus couldn’t easily take them out) did I realize that short-sightedness gives me very good up close vision.

Have you checked out the Huawei Matebook 14s? I had the Matebook 13 years ago and it was the best laptop I've ever used, and very similar to corresponding Apple laptops

As a former data center technician, I wouldn't say it's too far off

And address lanes. Don't forget the ALU, etc.

idk what you are on about, you wanna defend throwing away a whole laptop when the battery's dead or the LCD is broken? You don't think "right to repair" is all about replacing IC's on a PCB, right? There are a ton of vital components in a modern laptop that would easily be replacable by either a dedicated layman or an unlicenced professional. E.g. the webcam, SSD, battery, cables between these and the MB, the LCD, keyboard, touchpad, power button, speakers, screen bezel, digitizer, daughterboards, lid sensor, the list goes on and on and on.

And remember that "right to repair" does not only entail end users, but also local repair shops and IT service companies who simply are not licensed with a specific brand.
