Mobile experience is poor, I suggest not trying to use your phone.

My website seems to have no indexing problems. I would be shocked if I had literally any other sites linking to mine (Small personal website), so at least from my perspective the indexing behaviour seems fine.

Tobi still actively works on project within Shopify.

I've worked on projects within the last year that had (pretty heavy) direct involvement from Tobi.

This was the incident that made me switch off of Gmail: https://www.thegamer.com/markiplier-fans-google-account-ban-...

> Unfortunately, and for reasons that are still unclear, this triggered YouTube's auto-detect system for spam. Hundreds of accounts in Mark's 'community' have been banned. ... Being banned from your YouTube account is one thing; ... However, these fans' Google accounts were banned, meaning they lost access to their emails, ...

The accounts may have eventually been reinstated, but to me it showed a willingness to ban an entire google account from a minor infraction in some individual service, which I was just not comfortable taking the risk on.

Not exactly the same as what you're responding to, but very similar.

This is way better than I expected. I booted up "Gamer Boy" and started throwing out questions about some of my favourites, and got very coherent and believable answers, including details from those games. It wasn't 100% perfect, but just reading the transcript I would believe it was a real person.

> and just...ditch miniconda please

Why the recommendation to stop using miniconda?

Well, for starters(not that proficient with PyCharm as I only use it for less-professional use), I have tried for a few days to get PyCharm to use the miniconda environment on Windows, to no avail. It at least works on the command line so I get to play around with it. I'm going to spend more time tomorrow trying alternatives.

I noticed some similarities in the source code to https://github.com/baskerville/plato/

Is there some common source for Kobo-compatable rust code that you both drew from, or was plato the original source?

EDIT: Nevermind, should have looked closer, you already called out that you drew from plato

> The code responsible for rendering to the eInk display is written by baskerville and taken from https://github.com/baskerville/plato

Yes, with his permission.

30% seems way _way_ higher than I would expect.

I've been running Tailscale on all my devices for a couple months now, and I haven't noticed any impact on battery life. I just checked my phone (Android) and it's reporting 1% usage.

I would report an issue if you're seeing numbers that high.

I use an iPhone. If you google it, you will notice that lots of people have this issue and have had for a long time.

Weird, 4% on my iPhone. It's always on, though I don't make a lot of connections through it

You need to look at system usage because it’s the tunneling that’s draining the battery, afaict

I only activate it when I actually need to use it. I don't like running any phone apps in the background, they always suck juice.
