I just discovered that Oracle's founder Larry Ellison owns 98% of the Hawaiian island of Lanai. Perhaps Mark Zuckerberg heard about it and wants to achieve the same.
Is that really the case here? Is Google's marketing holding them back from profitability? Is GCP spending more on marketing than building useful products & expanding their infrastructure?

My university used to have researchers offer to pay students for testing out new OS ideas, such as 3D visualization of file systems. Some ideas looked super brilliant, but I had to look over at the researcher and smile because I didn't know how to use it. Neither would my grandmother. Sometimes the simplest ideas win.
