The content you’ve linked really does a good job at showing how completely decentralized P2P social media is a terrible, terrible idea.

That's no excuse for posting bad comments yourself.

A big internet forum like HN gets tons of crap comments. Most eventually get moderated, but not all; and even the ones that get moderated take time before we see them.

Decentralized does not mean there's no moderation. 4chan is centralized but the content can be... We don't need big companies to help us do quality moderation. Quite the opposite.

Well the main argument of the article is that they physically fall apart quickly, and are difficult (or impossible without fabrication skills) to repair
