Muahahaha, there's no escape! Maybe dial down the paranoia. It's a bit unhealthy.

Good luck to the crypto peeps out there. Seems like a strange world!

Seems like we need an RSV vaccine. Flu, covid, and RSV managed by vaccine would be really nice. Colds are a bit easier to handle, at least.

My kids were preemies (born last day of the second trimester) and RSV was The Big Bad for the first couple of years. They got put on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palivizumab - a vaccine would be spectacular.

It's my understanding some candidates are in trials now.

Get your flu shot, and a bivalent covid booster.

Why?

Neat! Always good to see apps expanding in their feature-set. Modernizing Signal is the way to go!

Y'all sound a little too paranoid. Chill

Yeah, I probably need JavaScript. Preferably TypeScript.

There’s really no reason to not to at this point. Building websites with anything other than self-contained components is zero percent worth it. css-as-dry was a mistake.

Never again, not even a little.

Well, this is one way to reach support.

So what you're saying is, we can just put a green lock in the UI and call it a day.

We can put some thought into how to set up the third parties to be trusted with our keys. Curretly it's very haphazard. And it's not avoidable. Even Phil Zimmerman, inventor of PGP, won't accept PGP encrypted mail because he claims to have lost his private key.

The outrage "own your private keys or bust!" is much easier tho.

Do you happen to know which OS Phil was using, when he lost his private key and what the exact circumstances were? This is a nice story to be told, but without details it is not worth that much.

Why does it matter? Private keys are being compromised or lost under all kinds of circumstances and regardless of the OS.

Green lock it is.

There's got to be a better term than "dogfooding"

A salesperson that I worked closely with like to use: “Drinking our own champagne.” I liked it enough I started using it though the engineer in me tends to be fine with “dogfooding”.

"Use your own product" was too simple and direct.

"Using your/their own product" is six syllables. Dogfooding is half that.

In the version without "ing", that's 5 versus 2 syllables.

Why? Keeps you humble.

Fine, fine. But I'm going with 'Cat-Chowing' instead.
