I tried this out once. At the time the CSS wasn't namespaced, and used fairly common class names, so it interfered with other parts of the project. Not sure if it has been fixed since.
The library is now namespaced. data_graphic is now MG.data_graphic, convert_dates is now MG.convert.date, clone is now MG.clone, button_layout is now MG.button_layout and data_table is now MG.data_table. We added a new convenience function called MG.convert.number."
It seems that the author has overlooked the option of staying in Waterloo and working for one of the many companies that are actively looking for talented students.
Edit: I was a UW co-op student and did all my terms in Waterloo.
I couldn't wait to get away from Waterloo for my work terms.
Winters in Waterloo are extremely unpleasant! My last two work terms were in Brazil and I actually ended up working for this Brazilian company after I graduated but like most of my peers I could have called on any of my former work term companies and instantly gotten a job without putting my resume in amongst the pile of unknown new-grad resumes.
Core CPI is around 1.7% in the US right now. Energy is affecting the non-core value (currently at 0% or slightly negative). The non-core value is typically very volatile.
The Fed has a target of 2% inflation. Krugman makes good arguments that the target should be 4%.
Meanwhile the Fed is talking about raising interest rates later this year (which is deflationary).
There are two clearly different views forming and it will be interesting to see how it plays out.
Canada has a target 'between 1 and 3%' and our core is currently sitting at 2.1%. We just had a interest rate decrease.
Some recent comments from Krugman about why we didn't see deflation during the recent recession:
Eventually went pure D3.
