Although written for AWS re:Invent, seems like a very useful checklist for things to do for any startups before making an investment of going to a tech conference.

True. Feature request for ipass.pk: Can you create a way to see the actual JSON. As a hacker myself, I would really like to see what JSON for spit out. That a big part of my learning.

Also, consider open-source please!

Interesting article. I guess it just shows how to circumvent poor documentation.

I say it's also a bit of marketing for his ipass.pk , which does look like a good start. Still has some time to go though.

Thanks for looking guys. You are right, I spent a lot of time on ipass.pk so trying to get a word out. Its a hobby, not a business, hence I have kept it free. I am glad you liked it.

I tried but I never got the email for the pass. Plus, I don't have iOS. I was trying in the simulator.

It should work in the simulator. Did you check junk mail? Otherwise let me look into it.

My logs show that neither of you actually tried it though. Did you?

Trial-and-error is always my solution to poor documentation. Hence, a tool to speed upo trial and error. lol

This is related to caches as the author is talked about hardware prefetching from memory to caches, i.e., is the act of fetching in to the cache the data that will be needed in the near future. This reduces cache misses.

nice job. I don't think you are right about the HT btw. Reference?

How are people doing on this? 100%?

got 4/5. Got the SMT one wrong.

Isn't it true the Pentium 4 didn't have SMT? (the first ones without HT?)

4/5? You mean you got one wrong or 3 wrong. There are 7 questions in total.

Pentium 4 had SMT. SMT == HT. Saying that SMT wasn't there in parts without HT is a bit circular.

Thats not what he meant. Pentium 4 had two underlying core architectures. NetBurst and Perscott. One of them didn't have HT so the author is incorrect IMO.

Congrats on your offer! Personally, I would chose the Firmware one because it will add a new skill set to your resume. The high-level software job sounds like just another job (in the context of your resume). The difference in pay is an important matter which only you can decide.

I totally see this! and like this:-) I know from experience that it has become harder to get good engineers as there is a shortage of engineers and a surplus of challenging jobs. Nice pick mate!
